Research Description

Florida's Franchising Laws and Tesla's Direct-to-Consumer Car Sales
Electric automobile manufacturer Tesla Motors has chosen to circumvent the traditional dealership franchising model and instead sell cars directly to consumers. However, the regulatory environment of various states creates barriers and restrictions for Tesla's sales model.

This research project will examine the effects of franchising regulations on Tesla's sales in Florida.
