"I got involved with research to gain insight into the research process, and to explore the academic side of my major. In my future career as an interior designer, I am interested in being able to improve the quality of life for people with dementia through evidence based design measures."

Staff Perceptions and Coding Guidelines to Determine the Efficacy of Multisensory Environments
This project will assist current doctoral research at the University of Florida in developing an effective non-pharmaceutical intervention for people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The overall objective for this project would be to determine staff perceptions of multi-sensory environments, and to develop coding guidelines that can be used to measure its efficacy on specific individuals.
