"From an early age, I've always been fascinated by the huge variety of forms and functions in the natural world. My dream had always been to work in the field, using my skills to further advance mankind's knowledge of the world around us and at the same time fulfilling my own burning desire to explore, discover, and teach. Therefore, a career in research seemed like a perfect way for me to earn a living doing exactly what I love. Thanks to the excellent faculty at UF, I've been given numerous opportunities to gain hands on experience and exercise my abilities."
