Research Description

Synthesis and Surface Reactions of Novel Gold Precursors for Electron-Beam Induced Nanoparticle Depositions
In this project, we hope to develop a gold complex, that when subjected to electron beam induced deposition (EBID) conditions, that will deposit with high purity. There have been complexes previously developed that are able to be used; however, they are generally very sensitive to temperature, air, and moisture. In order to overcome these issues, we will be using highly acidic P-F bonds in our ligands to promote deposition under EBID conditions.
