Research Description

International Student Transitioning: Research of Better Technological Solutions for International Students Attending the University of Florida
The purpose of this research program would be to interview international students attending the University of Florida, gathering data to later be used in creating a product or several products such as online courses, in-person, online or mentee-based programs for these students to better transition to America in regards to several aspects, such as customs, traditions, language (Slang), language (Actual Languages), partying and social events, etc. The International Student Transition Research program is intended to study and create technological and non-technological solutions to simplify the transition process of International Students at the University of Florida. Focusing on their own personal transitioning journeys on several platforms (America VS Home Country, Home Country VS Gainesville, High School Overseas vs University of Florida, Academics, Dating, etc), and based on their responses, volunteers will design and create a personal program for future international students applying and attending the University of Florida.
