Research Description

DEVELOPMENT OF A TRANSCALOSSAL MOTOR FIBER TEMPLATE USING OPTIMIZED PROBABILISTIC TRACTOGRAPHY PARAMETERS
The objective of my research is to address the inconsistencies of tractography within transcallosal motor fibers by providing various parameters into tractography algorithms. After I find the optimal set of parameters, I will use these parameters to develop a transcallosal motor fiber template to be used in studies. This template will then be applied to individuals who have experienced a stroke to determine structural differences in motor areas of the brain, and we will be able to determine which brain regions are predictive of deficits in these individuals. .
