A Memory of Nazism
My project is based on a series of oral history interviews conducted with Viktoria B., a member of the German 1968er generation. Her experience during the war and her memory of the Nazi system are reconstructed and analyzed. As the daughter of an enthusiastic anti-Semite and a product of a broken family, Viktoria's story lends itself to a deeper understanding of the second World War, the German population's opinion of the Holocaust and the psychological and emotional impact of traumatic periods of history on individuals.
