"I applied to the University Scholars Program because I wanted to challenge myself to learn outside of the classroom and get real-world experience with Internet technology and web development. I also wanted to build the foundation for a project that I could work on for years to come. My goal is to create an open source online community for data visualization projects, which people can freely download or add to the collection. I hope that it becomes something that will continue to be built upon long after the University Scholars Program ends."
My primary academic interests are web design and development as well as multimedia storytelling and online journalism.
