Research Description

Autonomous Ground Robot for Exploration of Indoor Environments
My University Scholars project will develop an autonomous robot, capable of being inserted into unknown indoor environments and be able to self-localize itself and perform a full mapping of it. The robot will explore and map the different areas or rooms of said environment, detecting all entrances and exits from these areas, and finally automatically navigating back to the insertion point.
