"I interned at the University of Florida's Student Legal Services where I performed data collection and analysis of files regarding landlord-tenant and insurance disputes. I found it truly thought provoking and wanted to delve deeper into student housing issues in Gainesville, FL."

Research Description

Addressing Issues in Gainesville Student Housing Market

The two objectives of this project are (1) to determine quantitatively the number of each type of dispute in the Gainesville student housing market, sorted by both frequency of the dispute for all Gainesville apartment complexes and per apartment complex, and (2) to research the ways in which apartment complexes contest these issues. This data will then be used to determine commonalities between the operational problems that each firm is facing and determine the cause of similar problems.
