"I've been interested in getting involved in my department for the past few semesters, but I always had reservations about approaching a professor for opportunities. Finally, I decided that I need to conquer my trepidations, and so I did! I got involved to prove to myself that I can not only attain a position as an undergraduate scholar, but also succeed at it."

Software Defined Radio as a Teaching Tool
My project aims to rehaul and revitalize the EEL4514 (Communication Systems and Components) lab companion to include inexpensive software defined radios, something that has previously been too cost prohibitive to provide on a student by student basis. Research will focus on finding reliable and cost-effective hardware/software that can be provided to each EEL4514 lab student to improve the quality of the material.
