"I got involved in research so I could apply what I was learning conceptually in the classroom in a practical setting. I wanted to formally learn the application of the scientific method in the real world and learn the various methodologies used in labs, so in the future if I continue in a research route I will already be acclimated to working in a lab setting."

Research Description

Effect of Androgens on Mice Development
The research project has two major goals. The first is to collect evidence and develop a reasonable hypothesis for the mechanism of the caudal growth of the sinovaginal bulb and mullerian vagina that has been previously observed. The second goal of the research project is to detail the effects of testosterone on a vaginal development and compare it to a control male and female.
